Scalping Forex CFDs: A Beginner Framework
Scalping targets small, frequent moves on liquid pairs like EUR/USD and GBP/USD. Here is a simple session-based approach.
Scalpers typically operate on 1–5 minute charts during the London–New York overlap when spreads are tightest. The goal is to capture 5–15 pip moves with strict stops.
A basic framework: identify the higher-timeframe bias, wait for a pullback to a moving average or VWAP, enter on a momentum candle in the trend direction, and exit quickly at a fixed reward target.
Rules that matter
- Trade only the most liquid sessions
- Cap daily loss before the session starts
- Avoid major news spikes unless experienced
